U2: 360 Degrees at the Rose Bowl 2009

U2's RECORD BREAKING ROSE BOWL CONCERT Filmed on 25th October 2009 U2 360° At The Rose Bowl was the penultimate gig of last year's U2 360° tour in support of their Grammy-nominated album No Line on The Horizon. The Rose Bowl performance was the band's biggest show of 2009 and U2's biggest ever US show, with a live audience in excess of 97,000. The show was also streamed across seven continents via YouTube. The first ever live streaming of a full-length stadium concert, U2 360° at the Rose Bowl had over 10 million views on the channel in one week.

Puppy Bowl 2005

The Puppy Bowl is an annual television program on Animal Planet that mimics an American football bowl game similar to the Super Bowl, using puppies. Shown each year on Super Bowl Sunday, the show consists of footage of a batch of puppies at play inside a model stadium, with commentary on their actions. The first Puppy Bowl was shown on February 6, 2005. The puppies featured in the Puppy Bowl are from shelters, and the show contains information on how viewers can adopt rescued puppies and help their local shelter.

Let's Bowl is a short-lived bowling game show that aired on the Comedy Central television network from 2001 to 2002 after a brief run on several TV stations across the U.S. in the mid-1990s, the first three being Minneapolis-St. Paul stations: KXLI-TV 41, KLGT-TV 23, and KARE channel 11.

College Bowl

College Bowl was a format of college-level quizbowl run and operated by College Bowl Company, Incorporated. It had a format similar to the current NAQT format. College Bowl first aired on US radio stations in 1953, and aired on US television from 1959 to 1970. After a seven-year hiatus following its cancellation on television, the game reappeared on college campuses in 1977 through an affiliation with the Association of College Unions International that lasted for 31 years. In 2008, the College Bowl Company announced its suspension of the College Bowl program, citing increased costs and financial infeasibility of continuing to work with ACUI.

Rose Bowl 1952

The Rose Bowl Game has been a part of college football on television since January 1, 1948. The 1948 Rose Bowl was telecast in Los Angeles on KTLA. The 1952 Rose Bowl, on NBC, was the first national telecast of a college football game. The network broadcast both the Tournament of Roses Parade and the following game. After the 2009-10 season, ESPN had the contract to broadcast the BCS games, including the Rose Bowl game. When the BCS was replaced by the College Football Playoff (CFP) in 2014, with the Rose Bowl Game as one of its six associated bowls, ESPN signed a new contract to broadcast all CFP games through the 2025 season.

Super Bowl XXXIX

Super Bowl XXXIX was an American football game between the American Football Conference champion New England Patriots and the National Football Conference champion Philadelphia Eagles to decide the National Football League champion for the 2004 season. The Patriots defeated the Eagles by the score of 24–21. The game was played on February 6, 2005, at Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, the first time the Super Bowl was played in that city. The Patriots, who entered the Super Bowl after compiling a 14–2 regular season record, became the first team since the 1997–98 Denver Broncos to win consecutive Super Bowls. New England also became the second team after the Dallas Cowboys to win three Super Bowls in four years. The Eagles were making their second Super Bowl appearance after posting a 13-3 regular season record. The game was close throughout, with the teams batting to a 14-14 tie by the end of the third quarter. The Patriots then scored 10 points in the 4th quarter with Corey Dillon's 2-yard touchdown run and Adam Vinatieri's 22-yard field goal. The Eagles then cut their deficit to 24–21, with quarterback Donovan McNabb's 30-yard touchdown pass to receiver Greg Lewis, with 1:48 remained in the game but could not sustain the comeback.
