Any Questions was an Australian television series which aired on ABC from 1958 to 1960. The series presented a panel, who would discuss various topics in each episode. ABC produced several discussion series during the 1950s and 1960s. Originally aired on Thursdays, it later moved to Wednesdays. Some of the editions were made in Sydney, while others were made in Melbourne. The "Chairman" overseeing the panel varied: In Melbourne it included Frank Eyre, in Sydney it included Nicholas Larkins and Frank Legg. TV listings from the run of the series suggest the Sydney edition was telerecorded for Melbourne broadcast, even though video-tape was available in Australia by 1959. It is not known if any of these telerecordings are still extant, given the erratic survival rate of 1950s Australian television programs.

"Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1998-2007, 2013-) is the US edition of the British show of the same name (with many of the same performers). It features some of the world's finest improv(isational) comics, including Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles and Drew Carey (Drew also hosting most shows, Aisha Tyler hosting the 2013 season). Each week, the main four improv comics (and a guest improv comic) spontaneously play "theatre sports" with crazy scenes, weird quirks, or improvised songs.
Whose Line is it Anyway? is a short-form improvisational comedy TV show. Originally a British radio programme, it moved to television in 1988 as a series made for the UK's Channel 4, for a ten-series run. The show consists of a panel of four performers who create characters, scenes and songs on the spot, in the style of short-form improvisation games, many taken from theatresports. Topics for the games are based on either audience suggestions or predetermined prompts from the host. Both the British and the American shows ostensibly take the form of a game show with the host arbitrarily assigning points and likewise choosing a winner at the end of each episode. However, the show lacks the true stakes and competition of a game show. The "game show" format is simply part of the comedy. Following the conclusion of the British run in 1998, ABC began airing an American version. The CW brought the series back in 2013.
